The purpose of the Development Office is to involve as many people as possible in executing the mission and vision of Holy Family Catholic School by means of quality communication, fundraising, grant writing and community building. What is Catholic School Development?

It is important to understand that development and fundraising both have very important roles in a Catholic school, but their roles are very different.

Fundraising refers to a single event with a beginning and an end. The result of a fundraising effort is usually to bring in dollars for a specific purpose. Examples of this are cookie dough sales, cookbook sales, and bake sales. Our Home & School Association holds a cookie dough fundraiser that supports the many wonderful activities that they bring to Holy Family. Our 8th grade class holds fundraisers to support their graduation activities and class trip. These fundraisers are critical to their efforts.

Development is a process that occurs over time. “Development” is defined as “creating and nurturing long-term relationships in order that the highest destiny of an institution can be realized.” It is a continual, long-term effort, which by definition, never ends. At Holy Family Catholic School, this can occur through the meaningful involvement of many people.

The Development Director relies on the expertise, time, and talent of a dedicated group of individuals who lead the following teams:
