Third Quarter is upon us already. This will be a busy time, but hopefully filled with spiritual growth as we make our lenten journey.
Religion- This Lent we are focusing on prayer and building our relationship with God through conversation with Him.
Social Studies- We are finishing up our Greek Newspaper and then will delve into Ancient Rome.
Language Arts: Poetry Workshop with the 7th and 8th grade on Tuesday and Friday afternoons will help us learn literary terms, expand our vocabulary, and discover meaning in poetry. In vocabulary we'll be learning about word parts and how they can help us understand new words. Spelling tests will be every Friday. In grammar we're working with adverbs, articles, direct objects, and learning to diagram sentences.
Math (Course 1)- Chapter 8 Geometry
This year we are teaming up with the 1st grade to be their buddies. We'll not only help them with their reading skills, but we'll also help them learn their basic addition and subtraction facts this year.

Catholic Daughters Assignment due February 14 - See assignment
Community Service: at least 3 hours by March 27. Hours from 1st semester do not roll over into this quarter. Everyone needs at least 3 hours.
Wonders of the World Assignment: See rubric and assignment sheet. Due last week of March before Spring Break.
